About half of respondents are expecting to increase pressure on Russia in the coming year
About 77% of Russians did not feel the consequences of the sanctions on themselves and their families. Such data are published today by VСIOM.

According to the center, 61% of the citizens are interested in this issue. Moreover, the majority is 78% - the older generation (60+). In assessing the impact of restrictive measures on the part of the West on Russia, the opinions of the respondents differed. 28% are sure that what is happening is to the detriment of the Russian Federation, and 30%, on the contrary, are convinced of the benefits of sanctions.

A new round of pressure was heard by 73% of the respondents. 53% of them regard the actions of Western partners as an attempt to influence the foreign policy course of Russia, 25% consider the main objective of the fight against business competitors. More than half of Russians (55%) expect strengthening of sanctions within the next year, only 14% predict a decrease in pressure.

Earlier, we reported that the threats of the G7 countries about the introduction of new sanctions are unlikely to be fatal for Russia, the Federation Council Chairman Valentina Matvienko is sure.
