Russian President Vladimir Putin sent congratulatory messages to 11 colleagues in honor of the 73rd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic war. Telegrams were sent to the heads of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Putin noted that Victory day is a sacred date, a symbol of unity and unparalleled heroism of our peoples. He also drew attention to the need to pass on to the younger generation the undistorted truth about what happened during the Great Patriotic War. "The President also expressed confidence that the traditions of brotherl friendship and mutual assistanceforged during the years of great hardship will continue to serve as a solid foundation for developing relations among our countries," the Kremlin said. Vladimir Putin conveyed words of sincere gratitude to all war veterans and home front workers, wishing them good health, peace and prosperity. It should be noted, that congratulatory messages have not been handed over to leaders of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko and Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili. However, Russian President hasn't forgotten to congratulate the citizens of Georgia and Ukraine on the 73rd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
